Material Study
A mold of a expanded polystyrene foam (EPS)brick was made after going through a condensing machine. Then it was used to cast different materials into. I was diving into the value of different materials, and why are some worth more than others.
Styrofoam = .20 - .30 cents/ lbs. 1. Mortar = .9 cents/ lbs. 2. Cement = .11 cents/ lbs. 3. White cement = .24 cents/ lbs. 4. Candle wax = .31 cents/ lbs. 5. Soap = .33 cents/ lbs. 6. Plaster = .70 cents/ lbs. 7. Crayons = .75 cents/ lbs. 8. Water soluble putty = $1.96/ lbs. 9. Bee’s wax = $10/ lbs.
However, even with some of these materials being worth less than the EPS per lbs. they all are still viewed as being worth more than EPS, because after all EPS is just trash right?
